Burglaries and other happenings

Apologies everyone for my lack of posting over the last couple of weeks - my household had a break-in and my shiny new Macbook was stolen, along with a bunch of my flat's cool stuff. Sorting out the insurance, security and all the stuff that goes with such a violation of privacy has taken up a lot of time. None of my knitting went missing though, every cloud!

But between all of that, and given I had no laptop to play on or a TV to watch, I've finished my Sexy Back Sweater.

I'm really happy with the way it turned out - although my seams aren't perfect. Hopefully no one will notice. And I do think the blue looks super next to my bright new Cambridge Satchel. It arrived from the UK on Saturday, and it's the best bag I've ever owned.

And on the writing front, two more crafty stories have been published in a couple of magazines.
The first is my Entangled Magazine feature on Wool and the Gang - yes I do have an obsession with them - but they have an amazing story.

And secondly is my quick interview with Nyssa Skorji, of A Wilderness for You and Me - the photos are stunning. Here's what the latest issue looks like - it will be on shelves this week!

Now that my major knitting project is done, I'm trying to figure out what to make next - the inspiration has not been forthcoming. I want a nice chunky scarf for the end of winter, thick and quick to knit. Any suggestions?

  1. Bummer about the burglary!!! People suck sometimes :-( Your sweater looks awesome though, congrats on finishing! Love your satchel too btw. Read your article in Entangled - fabulous! And my maiden name is the same as yours - coincidence :D
